Lightened flywheel carnage

I want to hear the full story. I put my Zero Kawi flywheel on with 95ft/lbs, way more than any 701 requires. Was this a High Compression engine? Started in reverse? REmoving the flywheel? Starting? while Running?

detailS!!!

How does one start a ski in reverse?

I was throwing it out there...it's some story I want to hear.

you can start 2 cycle compression engines (r/c nitros) in reverse. If the motor was hot and god knows what happened it could back fire and run away lol.

When I had my analog total loss msd box on my superjet it would occasionally start running in reverse when I landed wave jumping, it was all very confusing as it ran perfect but wouldn't go anywhere:confused: might have had just a little to much advance at idle, I never broke a flywheel though

I had that happen to a 650sx lightened flywheel. The guy I bought it from shaved off something like 3/4 of a pound...evidently it was too much lol. Spun the center right out of it with the same result. No damage to anything else, the ski just stopped running. Changed out to the stocker again and never had any further issues there.
