Light weight hulls

true. my boat feels like those icebreaker boats they use in the arctic compared to a LW hull boat. it definitely makes a difference, but to me it's not worth my hard-earned $$$ until my riding ability is able to take advantage of the hull. my BR's on the LW hull boat were horrible. it had nothing to do with the boat, and everything to do with the fact that i just can't roll like pillus/bogart/stoyer...etc....

i think jeremy parr is the perfect example here of someone who's ready for that kind of hull/power. look how far he's gone on equipment alot of us here can pretty much match.

big ups to parr. for sure.

all that said, it'd still be nice to own a lightweight hull boat.. you might just see me on one part-time in 2007 whenever i can fanagle ... :sneaky:

could not have said it better....

my boat feels like it rides IN the water. the lightweight boat felt like it rode ON the water.. if that makes any sense at all. ??
I've heard that from others regarding light weight hulls, and not as a compliment. That can be a problem in big/rough waves like we get around here.

That's why I keep all that water in my foam. :cool2:

JENS, thanks for the pics and the input, the DE. hull is truely a work of art(saw one at Havasu). It makes sense about a lw being harder to handle, add to that a high power engine and you would have harder learning curve.

i also would love a light weight hull (i am sure it is every one heres dream) but i am walking before i can run and in my opinion hull should be last on the list you caint hurt a motor with ill landed tricks but you can stuff a hull
but they sure are a sweet looking thing

yeah... it totally throws off your timing for tricks like can cans and nothings... even brs were difficult to do... It's so strange, you would think that things would be so much easier...
