Lanier/riot/ronny ride 2010 ??

I just read through this thread... I am sorry to see Justin not doing the ride, but like everyone says, all rides don't need to be an event. The Daytona model should not be the norm and it was a big mistake to try and copy it so quick. I don't make this ride big, it happened on it's own. I just try to go out of my way to provide an event like atmosphere for people. Sponsors want to be involved for obvious reasons and I like to provide free stuff and coordinate special events for you.

As of now I have more interest this year than ever I also have gotten a permit for 4000ft of beach so you have more room to ride. I am doing new things every year to provide a safe riding area and a fun atmosphere for everyone. It's just tough to keep up with the growth of this ride with only one person doing everything... Hope to see you all in Jan....

As for as a ride in Lanier, I would be down w/ that... I'll bring the bike and dual sport it up on some trail while I'm up there...

Ive made it to all the Lanier and Allatoona rides and had a blast at all of them. The size was perfect and the people were awesome. I live on Lanier and its full to the brim and ready for another ride.

I also attended the Lake norman ride and it was great until the law started jerking us around. Anyway I think that since its been a couple years we are somewhat off the radar to the Lanier water popo. I say set a date and time in May and go from there. Me and a couple of my local buddies could pitch in some planning time.

If this ride were to happen... I own a shop on Lake Allatoona, and have access to a 15 acre lot where we could possibly host this shin dig. The only deal is that this is a Corps owned lake and you must be on your best behavior, observe all no wake rules, and OBEY the 10 o'clock quiet time. Let me know what you guys think. And try to come up with a head count... FYI: The lot is $250 to rent, plus porta potties. So if we could come up with slight fundage, that would be GREAT! Ahoy Marine (My shop) will host one dinner of hotdogs and burgers one night. Let me know what you think.

I miss riding that lake...very pretty in spots...good times. I would be interested if you got something going, depending on when. I imagine quite a few people would show.

Sorry guys, no plans on organizing a ride. Way too busy. I just hope to get some time on the water this year. Would be cool to have a small one like the old days at Jet Ski cove. :)

You did a great job in years past, It got me hooked to see folks meet up at one spot and tell the rangers it was a coincidence!

Were asking if someone else can step up and find a lake camp ground we can be assured a good place to travel to & ride etc.
