Almost there...

Broke the back of the turf tonight. Came out ok for my first time turfing footholds...The yellow looks better with the turf on as well.

Under padding is way too thin (about 5mm) so need to get some more before I finish it. Any suggestions on how thick I should go?

Finished!!!

Right, my SXR build is finished. I'm pretty happy with the outcome, can't wait to get it on the water next weekend!

Thanks for all the tips and for those who have posted other build threads where I took inspiration.

That ski is cherry. Well done! I think the yellow caps look bad@ss. I've got a set of team green ones that I'm gonna put on sometime this year. Did you go with the Kicker footholds?

Thanks. Do it slowly and the coin becomes less of an issue. C'mon, get cutting and put some foot holds in at the least, you'll never look back!

cool looking boat- just a tip on the turf job- if you have a little gap in the turf (like i think i see on yours and all my turfjobs seem to end up with) touch up in between with some black paint or spraypaint and it washes away white from the hull inbetween gaps--cool looking boat i like the yellow caps
