Anyone know the size of the bolts for kenney keeps? I got a used set without the extended engine mount bolts. If anybody's got a set hit me up...I want 'em.

I found that my local ACE home hardware has a full on Stainless/Metric section and have found every nut and bolt I needed to put my ski together.

Kinda pricey if you needs lots of stuff but great for when you just need a few of something.

check the "tech" sticky for the right thread and pitch and then just get some 3/4" longer.

If you get too desperate I can pick some up and send them your way. they are just up the road from me, plus i pass another on the way home everynight.

Here is the hardware list:

You're looking for M8x1.25. Stock is 30mm long, so if add the length of the keeper to the stock 30mm you should be good. If it is a little longer than you need, just pick up some extra washers to stack under the head of the bolt.

edit: the chart has the kenny keeper length that is needed.

And try a set of bed plate to engine mount bolts, I bet those would work for you.

You're lucky. Ace is the closest hardware store to me, but their stainless selection is the worst.

Do it Best is a little further away, but has the best stainless selection. But I'm also lucky b/c I have a grainger and fastenal right down the street from my work. But they are only opened on weekdays, and it seems like you always need random hardware on weekends or in the evenings.

Use the golden rule. Need one bolt, buy 2. If you need 4 then buy 6.
Having extra bolts on hand when you need them seems like there weight in gold.
But thats just me.
I have a private owned HDW Store near me that has everything under the sun but the socket cap screws for a ADA head.

I made multiple trips for a few bolts here and there until finally I just grabbed a bag and bought an assortment based on what I had used so far. I came out with a little brown bag worth over $150 and I have used up half of it already and haven't had to go back yet.

I am afraid to price the bolts out through McMaster and find out how bad i got hosed locally. I do believe in supporting local though, It's nice to have supplies there when you need them.

I tested out Aces's O-ring selection last night too, they had every seal I needed for my UMI steering and WWW cone for under $4.

ACE Rocks!

Stainless hardware is crazy I thought I got a good deal on my TL $970.00 shipped. After having some stainless plate sheared and bent, taps, nuts, bolts; I had spent an additional $50.00. The metric stainless harware is crazy. ACE wants $0.17 for a tiny washer????

On Topic; My Kenny Keeper bolts where the correct length.....

The motor mounts bolts on mine are 25mm. The kenny keeper is 11mm so you'll want to pick up a 35-40mm bolt. If you get a 40mm bolt you're going to want a normal washer and a lock washer to help take up the extra space.
