there was a company in the mid 80's that made those, remember pics in SPLASH.

Wow, really? I guess some engineer at Yamaha must have had "designer's block" until he saw one of these things. I can't believe how much they look like blasters, and before anyone knew what a blaster looked like.

I still can't find any info on them on the interweb though.

Apparantly that is the older version,the newer one circa 1994 looks way different in the ad. The front looks more like a WR500 and the ad says 440,550,X2/650 components all bolt in.

The hulls measure 96" long by 36"wide by 30" tall.The narrow width combined with the high seat location give the typhoon a distinctive motorcycle feel that lets you lean into turns for excellent handling. Thats straight out of the ad lol.

They were made on a 650 kawasaki sx bottom hull
They looked cool a guy here had one in aussie

I think they handled as bad as a 650 sx as well

Well the later ones were based on a 650 anyway
