SXR Kawasaki Start/Stop relay problems?

I've lost 3 start stop relays in the last 2 years. I very rarely ride my SXR so I'm thinking they should last a little longer. I ride my Super jet pretty regularly and it has never lost one. Are there any factors that contribute to these things going out, like improper grounding, etc, or does Kawasaki just make cheap a$$ stuff? Anyone else have problems with Kawasaki Start/stop relays or am I the only lucky one?

mines still the og in my 04 sxr and its been to the bottom on the gulf a few times not a speck of corrosion in my ebox when i changed a coil a month ago. do you think it could be caused by corrosion? i also run an extra ground wire from e box to stater cover bolt

No corrosion isn't the problem. The SXR is my fresh water ski, its not very fun in the surf.
