For us guys that don't have extra cash for a Mag setback pump, I decided to make my own setback pump. I bought a trashed out pump on ebay for $50. and cut a 1 3/4 off the front of it and then welded it to the front of my pump and cut the ears off and welded them to my pump, and then cut off all of the excess material that I did not need. Then I bought a used longnose impeller for $75. and mounted it all up on my hull which is a Envy and just rode it last weekend for the first time. Now I do have a TBM pump stuffer which I had on last year which works great, but when I rode the ski this year I was totally impressed on the hookup and no cavitation at all even riding behind somebody elses jet wash. I did have to get use to the turning because it turns right off the pump and is very quick, I know you guys with Mag pumps I'm not telling you anything new. But if you don't have the money but have the resources this was a very worth wild mod and for $125. and the expense for someone to weld it up for you it's worth it.
