Thats not really a pisser, its the water draining from the little cubby compartments under the seat. where the fire extinguisher sits.

I usually run the BR8ES.

Thanks for the info, I figured it was some type of bilge.

The front left side pisser is working good now, just got back in from the lake.
She runs pretty good.

Time to order some block off plates.

The engine must be removed to get the crankcase drain block off installed correct?

please dont take off those stock stickers, i am a 93 addict, i will drive out there with an empty hull with no stickers and trade you, those 93 graphics are the rarest, embrace the neon love

neon pink just isn't my style.
neither are hull swaps, lol.

I would like all white with just the words 'Kawasaki x2' on the side of the hood.
And gray turf all around the ski.

Dude the 93 is the rarest sticker year being a 1 year run and you have a super clean one. People pull suckers off and the ski ends up looking like $hit. Keep it looking stock!

As for things to do.
Drill the water box
Chop 1.5 off the back
Dual cooling and add a 2nd pisser

And ride the thing!

It's that much louder?... If it's gonna be loud, it has to be fast first, lol
I'll wait to get a better exhaust first, prop, etc

A drilled stock water box isn't much louder that stock. Now a west coast or other after market water box is way loud. I don't even like riding on.

Ok now drilling a waterbox opens up you out flow of air. Think of a motor as a big air pump. A bigger carb makes more power right? And a bigger pipe right? Well that air all needs to go somewhere.
Think of a water box like a muffler on a car. When you buy a "flow master" in a bigger size the car makes more power right?

With that logic we all should be running an auger down the carb and hacking the mufflers off, YeeeeeHaaaaa.

Absolute complete newb here. I'm in the same boat as b.lee except I've never even been on any type of PWC. But always kinda wanted one and found a clean '89 x-2 with trailer for a whopping $350. Being a dirtbike racer and general gear head, when I saw it I couldn't not buy it. Anyways this thread is exactly what I need too, so keep the info coming.
As for the drilled waterbox...take it from someone who is fighting tooth and nail with the Forest Service and other landowners to keep dirt bike trails open, LOUD PIPES RISK RIGHTS! I can't imagine it's any different on the water, especially since the Greens are looking for any reason they can find to bury my beloved 2 strokes. (rant over)
In the 2 weeks I've had my x-2, I've ridden it 3 times and I can't believe I never bought one of these things before. So far I've put a new battery in, put an old set of Renthal tall bends on with new grips, blocked off the oil injection pump, and replaced fuel lines. The thing rips! I'm thinking my next mod will be finger throttle. What do you guys think? Oh, I'm usually a lurker on these sites because generally, the easier questions have all been answered a million times already but I had to chime in on the noise issue. So I guess I better give y'all some pics...tomorrow. Oh, and school us on trim. (sorry to hijack yer thread)

That logic is how motors work, air goes in and has to come out.

Not worth my time to teach you why it works, I'll just tell you it does and leave it at that. But just don't go posting things you have no idea about all it does is get new guy more confused.

Get a picture from this angle on your x2.

Anyone have any performance x2 parts for cheap? =) Let me know

Put a 15.5 prop on that ski and drill the water box and it will be a sick ride. Thats how my loaner is setup, stock 38 carb drilled water box and a 15.5.
Great setup
