I'll start with something easy, this is one of the 1st few tricks you will try when you 1st start freestyle.
To pull this trick off successfully:
Start out by going straight at medium throttle to get just above plaining speed. Once the ski is plained you need to hop the ski twice. The first hop you are trying to unweight the ski and prepare for the 2ed hop. The 2ed hop you are trying to get as high as possible.
When you hit the water landing the 1st hop have your knees slightly bent and mash the gas. Once you leave the water on the 2ed hop you need to bring your knees as close to your body as possible in a squatting position. (but dont bring your body to squat in the tray, bring the back of the tray to touch your auss) Once you have the back the ski out of the water and your knees towards your chest, you wont to firmly push the handle pole forward and slightly down. The idea here is to pre-angle the nose of the ski to go down into the water. Once you enter the water stay squatted/ducked lightly pulling the throttle to about a quarter open. This allows you to pull through and ride out the sub.
This is the approch angle you need to take when going in... notice the pooping squat
Tips
#1) You don’t need to be going fast when trying this trick.
#2) You don’t need to get the ski perpendicular to enter the water, a slight shallow angle is desired
#3) A good hoodseal is your friend, allong with outwares, bilge pumps and hoodstraps.
