300/440/550 JS 550 wont turn. Help?

Hey guys, i just picked up a JS 550. i got her started a couple times and now when i go to start it, it will just crank. i am getting a spark from the plugs though.

Any ideas?

I did put gas in the carb, still just turned. also tried puting a little in the head..same thing.

+1 check compression bro. also dont forget to make sure you have a good charge on your battery and some good clean spark plugs in it. when you put gas by hand it doesn't take much to flood it out.... it only takes a small amount to pop it off. might be time for some cleanup.... carb kit, new plugs, charged battery, and fresh fuel and she should fire up with good compression!!!

Take the plugs out, crank it over then put them back in. If it starts it is flooding and you will probably need to adjust low speed screw or increase pop-off pressure. The old mikunis are really bad for flooding.
