I sent my 61x flywheel to Paul last Tuesday, and got it back yesterday. Great customer service, and easy to talk to on the phone. I'm sure the turn around time has something to do with the time of year, but I'll be using Jr. Magoo's again.

I've also talked to xmetalworks about their steering system, and they were extremely helpful on the phone too. I hope to have their turnplate sometime soon.

do the lightened flywheels take away from torque at all??
maybe I am Bass ackwards here but I have always thought lightening flywheels take away bottom end and give top end... :dunno:

The engine will spool up faster because lightened flywheels have less rotating mass which means quicker acceleration and about the same top end. The stock 701 flywheel weighs 3 lbs 10 oz and a lightened flywheel will weigh .4 to .6 lbs less. :woot:

I just had it done on a 62T flywheel. I thought it was $55.00 but I could be wrong. It only made the flywheel 0.207 lb lighter, however all the mass that is removed came off the outside edge. far from the center of rotation.

Hell yeah. PancakePete was 100% correct in telling me Paul is a great guy. I called him and he hooked me up with some great advise without trying to sell me a bunch of crap. :arms:

I have since sent him my cylinder to port, and reduction nozzle to bore. Can't wait 'til spring to try that out.

Thanks for everything Paul... much appreciated for sure.:hail:

That is true when dealing with cars. It doesn't give more torque though. In the car world, It gives a heavier rotating mass to help get the car off the line. After initial movement it is a parasite. For ski's you don't need that extra mass to get moving.
