Jetting for stock 62t 701 with choke plates removed

Since removing the stock choke plates when I installed a primer kit I have read that sometimes it is best to just leave the plates in, but its too late for that now.

I have a 62T case 61x cylinder stock engine in a 93 SN
Everything is stock including FA's and pipe with the exception of a stock WB1 impeller and modified stock CDI.
Dual stock 38's.

Just wondering if I should be using stock jetting or what would be needed? I have stock jetting in there now, but can't seem to get rid of bottom end lean condition. When you nail the throttle it does well on accelerating, but when you let off the throttle from a WOT run, then grab another handful of throttle it leans out and sometimes dies.

What jetting and how many turns on each mixture screw? Thanks!

Stock jetting is:
70 Pilot ~1 turn out
130 Main ~1 1/2 turn out
1.5 n/s
95gm spring

You have a stock pipe right? I would probably turn the main out to see if the condition improves. Or go with 135 mains. You might have a fuel flow issue as well.

My thoughts as well, something else going on.

I'm gonna check the fuel peacock before I change anything or maybe bypass for the next ride...

now that I think about it, when the ski had the 650 engine in it had similar symptoms but I thought it was b/c the carb hadn't ever been rebuilt since the guy had owned it.

Run a line directly from the tank straight to the carbs. (With a filter of course) If you have an obstruction I bet it is in the fuel selector.

Turns out it was just the tunning... got the bottom dialed as best i could without a tac... then did some plug chops on the top end (freakin sucks swimming the damn thing in). high speed was way lean. Right now front carb is turned about 2 3/8 turn and rear carb is at like 2 turns to get them an even chocolate brown...

Am I am out too many turns? Enough to up the jet size? Or am I fine with where they are at?
