jetskiing helmet

When I wear my motocross helmet on my superjet, my noggin is well protected, but when I fall, it feels like my head is going to get ripped off.

Removing the peak looks terrible. If I were racing my CR250 and somehow the peak on my helmet got ripped off I would seriously consider pulling over rather than riding around looking like a sped.

I guess I shouldn't be such a girl, worrying about how I look, but is there a jet ski helmet available that doesn't look like an MX helmet with no peak? Maybe a mountain bike helmet or something...?

I would REALLY like to find one that would accommodate the old Jofa or JT style mouth guard that motocrossers used to wear with their open face helmets. An old mx racing buddy of mine lost two front teeth on his jet ski.

The last two seasons I have used a Bell Bellistic BMX full face helmet. I just picked up a 661 full face mountain bike/BMX helmet. both are very comfy and light weight.

X2 on the 661 mountain bike helmet, top notch. Can barely even feel it.

bmx downhill helmet..

Yeah most jet skiers helmets seem to be somewhat motocross replica-ish. I'lll keep my mx helmet for racing around the buoys with friends, I am just tired of the peak (visor) giving my a serious case of whiplash when my skull enters the water at 20 mph when trying to do a nose stab or sub.

I guess the lacrosse helmet looks like the best choice so far in terms of visor size.

LACROSSE HELMET!!!!!!!!!!!!

it has a small visor, super lightweight, and the foam dosnt absorb any water

Eric, where did you buy yours from? I might pick one up to try out...

the only real reason I like the full face BMX helmet is because it gets so damn cold up here in the fall. It helps keep the wind and cold out a bit more.
