Blaster JetManiac 718 carb settings, high/low...

What the baseline that people are running on the Jetmaniac 718 in a wave blaster? I messed with my carbs, but forgot to check what they were before I messed with them. Oh the joys of working with a 3 year old in the garage...

Thanks a million! I'll got verify tonight. Got to start getting ready for this freeride coming up.

Yea I have a slight run away problem. Almost hard to detect. Plugs look good, not running hot. Gonna pull the carbs this weekend and check the synchronization and clean them out. I've had a ski lean out, but not this mildly. The only way I really detected it, other than a mild involuntary rev while on the hose, was yanking out the lanyard and it continued running.

Alot of skis will run on when attached to a water hose on the trailer due to the head having hot spots due to uneven cooling. The water hose doesnt all ways fill the cylinder very well. Typicall fix is to turn low screw out 1/4 turn especially If it revs during a jump.

This has to be like the greatest thread ever, well, for me anyway.

Blue, I have noticed that under certain circumstances it will do a rev while in the air, but not a super high runaway, more like a failure to go back to idle. Think I'm gonna install the 3rd screen back in my stock F/a's and then go a little richer as recommended, after I clean the carbs. They have been on there about 4 years now since opening up last.

I've really enjoyed that engine. It was too much in SJ for me, lol. But in a B1 is perfect.

Glad to hear u like it.. just open the low speed screw 1/4 turn it will stop the free reving. But ur rite carbs should be checked every couple years and at a minimum at least install new diaphrams and check the internal filter screens for trash.. There located in the fuel pump side of the carb.
