Other Jet Ski Magazine Articles

Im interested in finding some old magazine articles online. Like vintage stuff. Someone mentioned an article from Personal Watercraft Illustrated that compared the 750sx and superjet, in favor of the 750sx. Maybe we can get together a collection? I just think there is not enough in depth information online regarding racing/surf riding etc. When I was into motocross there was always constant up to date articles about racing tips, techniques and how to attempt other areas of the track. Maybe we can create a resource of PDF's and articles full of information and sticky it? Im gonna start googling to find some stuff.

Curb I see you just joined the site a few months ago, Welcome aboard! You're in a good place, spend some time and navigate around, you will find way more relevant info on this website than you will ever find in those old magazine articles. The advantage to this site is that you not only have access to the lastest stuff, you also have access to the collective knowledge of all the forum members

Thanks for the welcome. Point is, I have a 750SX. No one ever really mentioned any good tips on how to rail corners without sliding out. After collecting knowledge after months I actually stumbled across a thread someone explained how a superjet turns more flat while a 750sx u can lay it down and without going in depth he talked about the pivot point of the handlepole. Never really understood why a different center of gravity the handlepole bracket really matters. After only putting 2 and 2 together today I went out and pulled the handlepole down with me, laying my ass into the water and really carved into the turn. Then I found myself dragging my leg on the outside after losing my balance. Hit me like a ton a bricks, what I thought I was doing correctly, I wasnt. I wanted to create a resource for everyone that you can stumble to, read something and say "Holy crap, let me try that" without posting a million questions. When I played paintball, we had plenty of pro tips. When I rode motocross, we had them too http://motocross.transworld.net/category/riding-tips/ . Jet skiing; I feel like thats missing without hitting the search button for hours on end trying to sort through useless information.

Yeah Curb, you really just need to spend more time riding and things will come together just fine. I analyze videos of riders for proper technique. With that said, I added a few mods to my sxi-pro that were worth the money cuz the handling of my ski was enhanced greatly and my riding experience/appreciation grew!

I added these mods and believe it was money well spent; Tubby's (I have Tubby 2s), Top loader intake grate, Worx Extended ride plate, Scat Track Big hub 9-17 impeller, bored nozzle, short cone. I purchased a custom made handlepole which I LOVE, it's shortened 1.5, and have 0 degree bar, which moves me forward in the ski. This pole was designed to where the bars are much higher and is a benefit. Most cases I am low in the tray in turns to where I just lay the pole on the hood and rail it.

Hope this helps.

See if u can find any footage online of the dos eques motosurf series from 2000-2001. Macc is racing An sxi pro and is absouloutly railing that thing. Then just study what he does

As far as tech tips from pros your outta luck..jetskiing is not a legitimate sport anymore like Moto..everybody thinks they rip anyways so tech tips would be useless...
