Jet in Stinger PLUS FCV?

I ordered Crockett's wetpipe and a flow control valve to go with it.

The chamber arrived with a 175 main jet in the stinger to restrict flow.

Do I add the fcv with the jet?
Do I forget the fcv and run the stinger as is?
Do I pull the jet and add the fcv?

as long as that hose between pipe and water box isnt melting, its FINE.

I run the FCV with a 2.0 needle and seat in the line (minus the needle of course) and it works great.

So do I on Frostys recomendation. Jet works said ok but to put a 4mm restrictor on the pisser. I havent done it yet, but nothing has melted either, so...

ive got the 3/8 nylon spacer bushing from lowes in my stinger, JWC valve, and NO restriction to my pisser.

Im running radiator hose between stinger and water box too, hasnt melted yet.

Flake, is one hose better than the next? Is radiator better than yellow Lowe's hose?

IM not sure what you are asking me shonuff..

im talking the actual 2.5" exhaust hose on mine from pipe to waterbox is a 90* bend of radiator hose, because my stock squarenose hose wouldnt fit the modded chamber im running.

the yellow/red air hose from lowes makes GREAT cooling line, if thats what you were referring to.

My point was though, just enough water to prevent melting the hoses, any more is a waste.

but when i tried to order mine a month or two ago they were on back order from hot products... i got tired of waiting so I just called jetworks up directly and ordered from them.

I ran both today and melted the hell out of my gas tank, melted all rubber near the chamber, and tried to melt the foam around my waterbox.

I'm going to remove the FCV and try her again.

welcome to the world of factory pipe tuning.

if its not hot enough to melt shiat, its making less power than the stock pipe.

Try reducing the pressure required to open the flow control valve. What size restrictor are you running in the stinger?

if a pipe with 3 adjustable water screws is "extremely easy to tune" then how easy to tune is a pipe with ZERO adjustable water screws?

so changing the water routing, adding a restricter or a JCW valve isnt "tuning" the pipe either huh?

well, heck in that case, all pipes are really easy to "tune" since when you say " tune" you really mean install and run as is.

Sorry Shonuff didnt see that you had a 175 main jet in the stinger. That is more than enough water to keep the hoses from melting. Try setting the flow control valve to open at 3500 rpm or so.

Also the way you have your waterline plumbed may be why your FCV isnt opening. If you have your T going the to the stinger plumbed up so that the part where the 90 degree is going the the stinger you may not get enough water pressure to cause the FCV to open.

Dont know if any of that made sence.......
