is this a pop off problem

im running a set off duel keihins off a sxi on my 750 x2 and have a wee problem starting/takeing off .
the ski starts fine no problems and idles but when you get on and give it some gas it just dies like it has no fuel getting thro . if you blip the throttle and get thro the blah blah bit it seems to get the fuel pressure back and run great . im running the jetting off the fpp web site in the carbs except for the pop off which i havent check as i dont have a pump at the moment . this only happens when the ski has been sitting for about 5mins or longer and you go to ride again . its fine when you stop it and then start again right away .
if i lower the pop off will this help or am i way off base and have another problem
any advice would be great thanks

It runs like crap until the carbs pressurize fully. Check the tank one way and shorten the fuel lines will probably help a lot. You may also need a carb rebuild.

Go up with the low speed jets first and see what it does.

I had kinda the same problem. Bought it used and it started fine, idle fine, high speed fine but when you were riding up on a plane and wanted to chop the throttle (like when aproaching a wave) it would bog and die.

I went up in jet sizes and it helped but still had a bog. Finally went to a 80g spring from a 95 and problem solved. I have a CoolHead, Factory Dry and twin 44's and 175 compression. She runs like a scalded dog now.

Does it start rieght up or do you need to prime or choke? Also how is it to start at the beginnining of the day?

at the start off the day firing it up for the frist time i give it 2 pumps on the primer and it fires right up straight away . after that it fires fine without the primer but then dies when you give it some gas . if you give it 2 pumps on the primer its fine again , that is only when when its been sitting for 5 mins or more , if you fall off and have to restart it its starts fine and goes perfectly

yeah now i think about it more i did notice that the problem did get a wee bit worse when i put in a aftermarket water box in it so perhaps it is a wee bit lean on the low speed jet . ill order some tommorw and try them and see wot it does . once the ski is running it doesnt have any bog and runs real hard all thro the rpm .

ive found that keihins do not like anything than their stock flame arrestors/airboxes.

mikunis are a lot more forgiving with different combos.
