I found some stuff about this in other threads. I can spend about $1500 and was thinking of doing a wet pipe + Group K swift kit (nozzle bored, skat trak impeller, milled head, carbs bored and jetted) which brings me in around $1300. According to the other threads this should be very reliable, I'm just wondering if this is the best bang for my buck. My priorities are reliablity and low-end brap. Thanks!

FLYWHEEL!!!!! They are super heavy on SXRs. I would get the wetpipe and an aluminum flywheel. (no need for an impeller, the stock SOLAS Swirl is fine). Send your head and nozzle to LPW to get milled and bored. This will put you at less than $1300 and you will have way more low end than what you were planning.

(If you don't want to spend the money on an aluminum flywheel, send yours to Paul also, this should bring you under $1000 and you'll be about the same as what you quoted at $1500. ) ....or look for a used SXIPRO or SXR aluminum flywheel.

Whats your build goal? Are you concerned about weight for free style or do you just want a kick a$$ fast SXR?

I have do disagree with Korn on the stock prop. I kept my stock prop when I just had the wetpipe and it was fine. When I started adding more compression, timing, and such, the stock prop was not enough. I moved to a Solas 13/22 dynafly and now am on to a Impros hooker. Much, much better than the stock prop.

Nothing against GroupK, but I think you and your money can do better. I like dealing with Harry - have done so in the past and will probably do so again. But better performance can be had for the same or less money elsewhere.
Look at Jetworks or Kommander.
