Is there any hope of another Jersey Rager?

Anyone interested? I know why it died, not looking to discuss that topic.
I never actually rode a ski at it, but it looked like a great time :brap: (I had fun spectating)

I know there are a decent amount of people from Jersey on here, would any of you be interested in trying to put a planned event on? I'm willing to help in anyway I can. It's too late for this year, but how about 2009?

The company I work for sponsors events that employees participate in (or arrange) , as long as proceeds go to charity. (they prefer the March of Dimes)
Let me know if I'm crazy with this idea.

I'm not saying to plan it for the dates it once was. Hell, let's pick a weekend that no event is planned for (should not be too hard on the East Coast) It doesn't even have to be Seaside.

It died because the town of Seaside will not allow it again unless insurance and other thigns are covered. The Dslicker Corsons ride is the next closest thing to a Jersey Rager you will get. I do miss the Rager though, it was soooo much fun.

That's why this year is shot for me, I have to go to a wedding that weekend :banghead: That's why I was thinking about next year.

The 3 weekends I was at corsons this summer, was like a mini freeride everytime....lol I cant believe how many skis are out there. Unfortunatly, during summer the only place your gonna get a bunch of riders in the surf without alot of hassle, has to be one of the inlets in south jerz. Your just not going to be able to get a beachfront ride without alot of string pulling and $$$$. Wish it would happen though, I never got to the ragers.

We did the Dslicker outlaw ride last year as a substitute for the rager and it was great (was also my bachelor party) this year should be bigger. You should come, contrary to what other people say we are a good group of guys.

Id love to do corsons but it isnt very spectator friendly. The wife likes to come and watch the riding and hanging out, but at that spot, you need to be on a ski to get to the riding area.

Just because we have WaveDaze, don't let that stop you from doing something in Jersey. Obviously, we wouldn't want you to do it on the same date as us (we're still in the same slot as world finals though :banghead: ), but we may have a new date next year as well. We hope to have a 2009 date announced before this year's ride. It won't be any later, but if it's not the same weekend in 09, it will probably be sept 09.

We were very sad when we heard that the rager was no more. It took over a year of planning for the first WaveDaze as we were required to work with the VB Convention and visitors bureau and we too have event insurance.

PM me a phone number & I'd be happy to help with any advise. Anything to help the sport grow, just know that it may consume much more time than you may be prepared for. I'm sure Pete can attest to that.

Yes it does...I flew under the radar for 3 years. They were pretty pissed when they saw us this year...mostly because of the Redbull Girls (no soliciting in State Parks!), Next year we are stuck with permits, emergency crew, the whole nine yards of BS.
