Is the Blowsion cast aluminum intake duct worth $87.85?

Is the Blowsion cast aluminum intake duct worth $87.85?

They also suggest using marine sealant they sell for $14.50 a tube(or is silicone just as good?).

BTW I'm replacing the '96 stocker because the bottom broke out of it.

I guess you are talking about the pump shoe.
Wait till you have to remove your broken one, than you'll pay anything not to have to do it again.

Normal silicone will not work, you need something that works below the water line.
3M 5200 is what you need and you can get it at most boat stores and even in some Wally Worlds.

they are worth every penny, the other brand is $200 , I thought the $87 price was a mistake,

silicone will not work , do it right and never have to do it again

exactly... put one in the b1 a while back. beats oem Jared and it's not 200 clams either! I'm thinking Ollie might have replaced his with one as well a while back. btw, if ya o that route, i'm pretty sure i have some sealant left.

$87s not so bad. A Grate is $100+ and so is a rideplate. Definatly worth it! No point in putting another plastic one in. DO the alum one and never do it again!

dont use 5200 to install your pump shoe . use plexus slow cure 1 hour work time available at jamestowndistributers or at least a high quality to part epoxy

Why not? I've done several with 5200 and never had a problem, with years of use.
