Installing Pole Spring On Xscream Pole

So.... Last night I was attempting to install a new xscream pole on a SXR, and I cannot get a pole spring to fit in there for the life of me! The ski had an aftermarket spring which I slightly modified to try to get it to fit, but still no dice. I tried fitting the stock spring in there, and then somehow managed to bend the bolt during the whole ordeal. I also tried to fit the 2 stock springs for a SJ, but no luck either.

Any ideas? Even better, and pictures?

You have to drill a hole in the pole approx in the middle section at the very bottom as shown in first pic.Then the long leg goes downward into pole bracket or a plate added if not using a pole bracket like on a freak. This is a Blowsion HD spring from @JetManiac.

And then just cut the bottom "tail" off of the spring?

Yes but mock everything up first.

The Blowsion spring works perfect and are known to last.

I'm pretty sure that is where the spring came from.
