what have you guys used to extend it?

so this is turned all the way to the left.

now to the right untill its hitting the slide.....i also need to adjust it so its turning stop to stop. but not sure if its a waste of time to do so if its too long.

its pushing my chin pad WAY over, i know i gotta dremel into it but do i just have way too much and should make a new extension, or just cut into it?

thats where its hitting.....im afraid if i cut into it too much im gonna hack half of the thing off........

let me know........:Banane19:

i think i need to just get an aftermarket turning plate and stop wasting my time:burnout:

I don't think your wasting your time. Just trial and error. Keep working on it. You may have to shorten it just a little. Most of the A/M turnplates I've seen my friends purchase also made the steering rod hit the chinpad in the furthers position. They had to clearance the chinpad to make it work. Good luck!!

It's not too long if it's not overextending the cable or the nozzle isn't binding. If the nozzle hits before the turnplate does, then you'll put pressure on the cable and eventually it will break.

I actually did this same thing about a month ago. Works great but mine is slightly shorter than yours...I think it's got a little thicker metal too. Yours looks pretty thin.

you also need to bring the ball on your steering nozzle inwards toward the pump outlet and you should need to trim some of the inside of your nozzle to allow for the more steering . then you r there

well the nozzles hitting the pump before it hits the steering stop.....i need to shave it.

you should hit the end of your cable before the pole pad if the pad was made correctly . this is pretty old school but you are going to have to shave the nozzle or your will bend the cable or break the nozzle . you need to stop on the stopper not either of the other two .
