Info On Pismo Needed

I havent been there since I was a kid but I definately want to make it out there again to ride. Can you camp on the beach with a trailer or tent or is there a designated camping area? Whats the legal riding age out there in case my son wants to ride? Is there a certain area that the jetski riders hang out at? Thanks in advance!

There is indeed a designated camping area and you need reservations.
You can pretty much drop your ski anywhere south of the Grand Avenue entrance.
Age? not sure.....How old is your son? Surf is challenging.

theres a camping area after mile marker 2. you cant miss it as the camp area is also the area where you can ride quads or dirtbikes and 90% of the visitors will be.
as far as skis? idk this time of year the surf is deadly. i wouldnt want my kids out there!
no, but the locals never ride at the camp area, usually up by the northern entrance.

Thanks fellas. I wont be there until next year. Maybe will try and make the next big Pismo Jam in 2010. My son is 12 and rides regularly in Lake Mead and has also rode at Lake Havasu and the Colorado River. He can prolly handle the small surf but I doubt him or me could handle the big stuff.
