Impeller pics and question

Thought while I had my ski down for a top-end rebuild I would check out the rest of the drivetrain. My midshaft bearing just didn't sound as smooth as I thought it should, so I tore it down and it was filled with water. It doesn't really seem that rough but I am going to go ahead and replace the seals and bearing for good measure.

Here are pics of my impeller aka "the gravel pumper":

I have a 62T 701 motor (will be one over after rebuild) with single carb, stock exhaust. This impeller obviously needs some work, but if I get it cleaned up is it a good impeller for low-end acceleration, or should I buy something different? It is stainless, and marked "Skat-trak 6 3v".

i think that you could clean that up enough get by and run it... if low end punch is what you really are looking for you would prferably something cut back, larger hub and geared around 10/16 give or take. there are lots of set ups. also youcould always add a wet wolf cone to that one and call it a day. good luck

keep that as a back up or sell it.

even fixed it isnt what you want.

I LOVED my solas concord 12/15 cutback with a nearly stock 701 engine.
IM sure a skat swirl in a similar LOW repitched variation would be good also.

skip the wetwolf cone, and bore your nozzle to 85mm.
