Yall can take a look at Marquette MI weather the past day. A buddy and I decided today was the last ride 44 degree water on superior, 32 degree air, and 10-14 foot swells. Well forgot batteries dont like cold so getting them fired and into the water from a beach cart sucked, his never did get going, kep dieing when it hit the water. I rode close to shore for a bit but if my ski died i wouldnt have had the juice to fire it back up. It was a major buzz kill, but atleast we rode and in years past the last days I rode was mid oct. I was wearing a Slippery suit, neo socks, wrastlin shoes, and thor motocross shorts, and six six one helmet. It wasnt too bad. Then I realized we have to wet skis and my little garage with no light or insulation in town was not a good idea so I drove to my dads garage to store them over night. Went across town to 3 inches of snow still wearing my suit. Feels good to be out, but really bummed the season is done here, I finally got this new ski tuned just right, but thank god no build over winter. New water box, head, and reinforce the hood more. Time to winterize hibernate get fat and drink beer.

Is it rude to say that there's no such thing to "end of the season" down in FL? We just have to pull out our wetsuits for a couple months and maybe not go in on a select cold weekend.....and by cold I mean 50 degree air/70 degree water . :wall:

My last ride on my 650 powered square will be this Sunday morning.
Than by mid-morning I'm tearing out the motor, pipe, bed plates, motor mounts, electrical box,.............................................................
and throwing in all new TEAM SCREAM 701 POWER !!!!!!!:brap:

Water test the rest of the day and maybe some more on monday.

After that it will be just as GDFL said but without the extreme 50's thing.

Love SWFlorida in the winter.

Hate to say it also but in the Pacific Northwest we ride year around. The surf forcast this weekend is 11ft 15 sec apart with a light on shore breaze. The nice thing about the Northwest the ocean temp hardly ever drops below 50 degrees. Now the outside air temp is a different story.

Kevin, you mean you ride all (cold) year round. Think I'm going to rest my bones a little and save it for sunny and WARM Daytona beach FL.

the guys and i were riding all day saturday..50 degree air temp and 53 degree water temp..we cut a 55 gallon drum in half, filled it fire wood and let it burn on the beach so when we weren't riding we were staying warm..you get hot fast in a wetsuit next to a fire :bandit:

Its been over a month since ive ridden, been too busy!

I wish I had someone to ride with though, I would nearly ride year round, I am afraid to take my junk very far out into COLD water alone though.
I figure i would die of hypothermia before I could swim it in.
