I forgot!
drill some holes in the back of the ski. if your ski is older than....oh lets say.... 2002, and has foothold, and a scupper along with the stock rear exhaust, it's logged.

The intake ramps are epoxied.
That's not a bad thing, and not a reason to get new cases.

Buy a roll of gasket material and make your own. CHEAP! :Banane09:

Really? by cutting them wrong? I use a small bur and trace whats left of the old one. then i give it 3-4 layers of copper spray.

The gasket material we purchased once was close to construction paper . replacement gaskets like OEM have wire through them and are a better material. Thicker and tougher. Maybe people have had luck with cut-out gasket materials, but we havent. especially high pressure areas like the head, and exhaust I would expect a leak. just my opinion.

i'm gonna add to ur list
new or rebuilt bendix (even if its not seized,u'll never get all that rust out of it, and and it will quickly corode all thats under your stator cover, p*ssing all over the work that u'll get done at JSS)

also maybe not as important i could be wrong, but i would look into new sleeves, or even new ported cylinders... there i go spending your money again!! i'll stop for now...

good luck

Well that definately sucks Dez, but if it never broke down then you would never build it back up...bigger and better. Did you ever figure out why you went through two top ends?

idk for sure i thought it was because my carbs where coming loose and it was leaning out, but my mechanic mark 24-7 said it was a bad crank so i put a new one in and know its a paper weight lol. iam going to look at a nicely set up square to day so i dont miss any time on the water this year. you can never have enuff sj's:brap:

There's your problem!

Really though, call around to some engine builders and see if they have a good used crank for sale. Last year, I bought a used one from Chuck @ Team Scream for a great deal and it's lasting fine.

ok guys i need a little help here what should i do, do i rebuild the motor my self from scratch wich will cost around a grand witch would make sence because iam not really working or do i go team scream 771 and just put it on the credit card and pay it off in like 10 years:beerchug:

3x as much $, but 0% of the work for the TS. My only problem with TS is "How much to step up to the next package?" "OK, How much for the next package after that?" It gets real expensive, real fast.
