Man, that sucks, if you are lucky you can find a good crank for around $200 from someone who has pulled a good one to build a stroker. Otherwise go ahead and spend the $400 and get a good welded rebuild with Hot Rods. I am sure that Tricky1 will hook you up with the bottom end rebuild. Good luck.

Ya but he did get lucky. That rod could have gone out the side and taken eveything, cases, cylinder etc with it.

I'm curious how the rear cylinder would be affected as opposed to the front when doing a fountain? Was water just pouring into your hull for some reason? That's the typical sympton of water ingestion, but it still seems fishy.

sbt sucks!
warranty only covers crank
if it takes out the cases ... tuff
if it takes out the piston/cylinder tuff..
i put one in a friends gpr .. made it 3 tanks of fuel rear bearing failure.
i put a entire motor in a 04xlt 1200 locked up 1st ride they wanted me to shell out the $ to ship it back to them again rear main bearing
ill never put sbt in my ski!

Yeah....our local riding spots seem to be jinxed. The water left inside the hull after the rides also carry to places like daytona and texas.....:bs2:

Also it sucks when you have a brand new crank hydro lock on you on your first ride of the year.... it happened to me

About broke my nose on a sub for some hunnies though!

Man I have enough help blowing up engines, I don't need anymore. Therefore fountains & subs are a no no with me!
