I need info from you Daytona riders

Having lived almost my entire life in Daytona and around central FL I feel stupid asking this. But I need to know ASAFP.

I'm coming home the end of this month and I need to know what I need to ride my ski being an out of state ski.



I have:
  1. Tow loops
  2. Tow Rope
  3. Fire extinguisher
  4. Whistle attacked to my Lanyard
  5. Current MI reg
I know I'll have to get a beach pass. And since I just got the boat a couple months ago, and this is the off season, I have not been able to get a coast guard inspection/sticker yet. I've never riden in the jetski zones, so I'm not sure of the requirments.

I dont want to get there and find out I cant ride for something stupid, or have to spend a hundred bucks getting legal just to ride for a couple days.


Please let me know what I'm still missing, and anything I should know in advance.

Also a cup to puor your beer into. Pretty laxxed about cups in your hand but not with a bottle or can. :trink26: Oh yeah, a wind proof lighter also.

Actually, as long as the registration is valid (any state) and you have pfd, whistle, helmet and fire ext you are good to go. If your ski is not registered, just write up a "new" bill of sale. Here if FL you have 30 days with a bos. My bos lasted me almost a year before I had to put numbers on.

Might have been in the first post, but when are you coming down?

I'll be down the last week of the month till mid May.

I have a helmet and everything else. Ski has hood straps and limiter rope. I also know about Ponce. I used to surf there as a kid. Like I said, it's my home town. I just wasn't sure about the Regs. I never rode skis down there.

Go to Volusia.org Click on beach services. Then click on PWC zones. All info, rules, and more important which zone it is at one the dates your going to be here. The zones move every month.

The zone is where it's at, not Ponce. Ponce you have to ride out, no place to hang out except the boat ramp, and there is plenty of things to look at on the beach. Especially during Spring break. It is customary to bring the locals a case of beer or bottle as a peace offering.

I dont have your # anymore.

I accidentally washed my phone and lost all the info in my phone and on the SIM card. I have a new phone now.. But I dont have anyones #s anymore.

I pulled my ice screws outta my tires yesterday and rejetted my bike. I put togeter a flush kit and did a double check on the ski to make sure it was all good to go. I have my knee braces, and all my gear for dirt and surf, including TWO helmets. I should be all set. see you in a few weeks broski. :friday:
