I think we are on the brink of some big advances as far as surf hulls go, the jumping has been insane for a few years now but true ripping on the face of the wave seems to be lagging. With better hull shapes ,,,nose , tail and ride plate rocker along with a sweeter outline shape and volume flow will make surfing in the pocket so much easier. It takes much less power surfing vs big air jumping that the electric thing could work, yes crazy power is fun and it's my American duty to burn petrol but the electric surf ski could open up more areas to us in the future.

Yeah I believe were still in the infancy stages as far as the design arena for a surf specific hull. I have been experimenting with hull shape modifications that can be done to any Super Jet which include exaggerated “tubbie” style sponsons which are wider and go further up to add volume to the front section of the hull. So far I’ve had really good results. I’m very interested in the nose rocker that a lot of East coast surfriders have been toying with, I think that design combined with a wider, fuller front end would be money! We, as surfriders in general have a hugh advantage already in that we can simply refer to the surfing world for designs that are already proven. My ultimate goal is a hull shaped similair to a Fish Surf board, which are some of the most rippable shapes on the planet.

227 That hull shape sounds killer, can wait to see it come together. whats the best swell for O side south or north ? man I'd love to do a road trip and end up in Baja for a couple of weeks.
