I just ordered a new hood seal and it's a little long

I got a good deal on a OEM hood seal from legdrag.com when I layed it on the ski it seems a little long for the channel. am I suposted to trim it?

I had to cut a brand new one once. I hated to do it but it was like 9 inches to long.

yep just cut it and use soome o ring joining super glue to join the two ends back up
