I am not Happy-SOB

The bitch came with batteries....As soon as I find out what it is this bitch is going back...until I need it again...

Ok, the battery reads 13.18

Battery is now 12.58...Yes it was takin off the charger right before the first time....I am going to get all the readings and post back here...be right back

the stator ground is in the 5 wire harness (or is it 4 wire?) that goes from the front of the engine, right near the flywheel cover and battery, and into the electric box. it is the black wire. find where it connects in the box and verify that it is connected by putting your meter on the resisitance scale that says, in green, "200/****" (the one above "PNP") and putting one lead on one of the head bolts and the other on the stator ground in the box.

yes, you should have a gound in that E box too, and you dont.

something is off, or corroded somewhere.

there is alot of resistance to teh engine as well, you lost almost an entire volt from the battery to the head bolt.

that isnt good.

clean and inspect every cable from the battery.

I see the grounds in the E-box...what do you mean I don't? The stator(black wire) in the 5 wire harness is grounded tightly to the screw in the ebox.

What I still don't understand, is how we connected the battery directly to the starer, when bridging the relay and it did not turn over...I thought it would for sure turn over since we were bypassing all this other stuff......I just want to get the starter spinning to make sure I don't have to replace that..

Ok, got an update...Battery is at 12.35, I tested the voltage at the Relay, the connection to the relay from battery, is 12.35....The connection from relay to starter is 0 even when I press start it is zero....So is it my relay? Or the starter?

******** I just dont understand this,

I can get 12.35 colts to the post on the relay that gets power from the battery, but even when I bridge the connections to the other post, the bridge gets no voltage, except maybe .1.....And the post doesnt get but..1

12.35, is about a 60% charged battery, it should read 12.7-12.9 volts when 100% charged.

12.35 should still start it though, if everythign else is good.
