I don't get what you mean by jumping the solonoid, or how you worded it. That sill won't test the starter ground will it? What if the starter is not ground at the starter?

the starter is bolted to the engine.
that is its ground.

( check it, only a red wire going to it)

if you put batteyr black to the engine, and battery red to the normal ski elec system.

you can fake a good ground there.

Ok, let me get this straight,

Take my jumper cables and put the black from the ski battery, to black on the engine head. Then Put red from the ski battery, to the red hookup that would normally be connected to the battery?

Ok, I did what you said, and still got nothing....BUT, I did get a jump inside the relay housing, this is the sound I thought I was hearing....I can also put my hands on the relay and feel it jump.

The Black wire from the battery, has wires coming off that lead into the flywheel, then it goes to the starter I think......am I going to need to remove the exhaust?

one goes right NEXT to the starter.

can you get to it without removing the exhaust?

simple circuit test.

meter on resistance, the beep. 200 ohms )))) setting.

from black battery cable to engine block.

this only tests the path, and not its ability to pass the needed current.

Don't get what your saying. I figured that it went to the starter, because that is as far back as I could feel and I did not see it going anywhere else. Do you want me to test the cable right where it attaches to the battery?

But, NO I do not think I can get to the back of the starter to test it there....

I think it goes to a starter mounting bolt, it effecively connects the starter, to the engine block, to the battery negative side.

Ive got to get some sleep dude.

We will resume tomorow.

check this diagram, and see what you can learn.

I ll study it,

I was about to say the same thing,

Get Some sleep man! I cant beleive you stayed up this late to help me.

I don't need a responce, just go!

:haha:

hey kane, dont worry about the bad/loose ground wire if you cant get to it. you can get another cable at wally world or an auto parts store and run it from the neg batt post to a flywheel cover bolt.

however, if the connection is bad due to a loose starter bolt, thats something that you may want to look into
