Hydro-Turf Sandals

My Reef sandals were falling apart on me, so I tore them apart and re made them using the strap, bottom rubber peice, and some left over turf scraps! I even padded extra for the arch of my foot:Banane13:

:haha:  :cheer:

I like! I have an old pair of sandals that the treads are worn down/away on. I've been wanting to have them turfed by the turfmaster for months. Maybe this will inspire him! :cool2:

did you have to split the two layers of the original sole? i dont see how you turfed around the straps on the top connecting to the base, like you slid them in...

i really want to do this haha

My old Reefs had two layers, one was the bottom rubber sole, and the other was some kind of hard foam that was on top of the sole. The foam was cracking, which is why I decided to re make the sandal with HT. SO, i took off all the old foam and totaly removed the strap. Next, I glued the diamond turf and grey padding together, than i ran the ends of the strap through both layers. Next I glued the bottom rubber sole to the HT. The strap has peices that go flat in between the layers to keep it from coming out.
