Hydro space. First race.

Ok, i've had my HS for a little over a month now (away for 3 weeks of that) and ran my first race on it today, in limited as we have only temporary homologation until more ski's are in the country.

now, the hydrospace.... great ski. goes well rock stock up against limited octanes and sxr's. BUT, not impressed overall.

the ski came with a set of maccracing sponsons as all of them do in Aust.

i ran the ski in without them then had the fiberglasser from the dealer install them properly. one hit of the log jump and kapoo left sponson is gone.broke right in the middle. these things are THIN, this made my day bad as running one sponson sucks.

But theres more before the above. since ive had it ive gone through 1 battery (left the lanyard in(my bad)) a starter clutch, Hydrospace says this has never happened before.. the rear coil bolt ontop of the cam cover is wearing at my hood (wtf?) and the throttle almost fell off cause the small bolt and circlip came off.

oh and my superjet also decide it didnt want the bendix to work today.. just to ad to the bad day.

all in all hydrospace awesome ski while running but i must have got a dud. but on the good side warranty is good.

its never happened before? how many HS skis are actually on the water? its still a brand new thing, there are LOTS of mechanical breakdowns that have never happened before on such a brand new item.
