How to increase steering radius?

Hello,

Sorry if this has been discussed but i have been searching for the past 20 minutes and couldn't find much.
I am going to order a blowsion izznel twister nozzle. BUT I was wondering if there is any other way to achieve this?

My nozzle broke this weekend, if there is another way of modding this one to add more radius would be great.

If possible please let me know and if you can, include pics. Thanks!

More radius- as in you want to make wider turns? I think you'd need a new nozzle.

If you want to make tighter turns, (shorter radius) you can tap a new hole in your broken nozzle. You would tap it between the old hole, and the nozzle itself. This may require that you remove some of the material, and there are numbers posts on this. Search for "quick steer."

I meant increase the radius in which the nozzle rotates to each side, making the rear spin easier off of waves.

Thanks for clarifying the term. I was searching for the wrong thing.

You want to "increase the nozzle throw" and "decrease the turn radius".

You accomplish this by moving the mount steering cable mount *in on the nozzle* or *further from the pivot* on the turn plate.

Thank you! Haha I still need to learn the correct terms.

Just drill a new hole further in and thread your ball fitting into that, you will probably have to adjust your steering cable so it does not bind and possibly radius the edges of your turn nozzle so they don't hit the reduction nozzle if your steering allows for that much throw.

This one is conservative, I went a bit further in on the one that's on my ski but you will want to make sure your cable end doesn't bind on the nozzle. The further out on the steering plate you can go, the better.

Thanks this helps a lot!
I will use this for now until I get the new nozzle with the bracket.
Does this make a big difference in steering? as in does it spin the ski faster?

Definitely, but if you just modify the steering points you will likely bend or break a steering cable in short order. Take the time to make sure you get full throw in each direction and the steering plate hits the stops BEFORE bottoming out the cable on either end.
