I flush with about 1/3 cup of Salt-Away and let it run till the applicator cup runs clear (3-5min) after every ride. Just seems like cheap insurance to me.

i flush mine after every ride for about 2-3 mintues. About every 20-25 rides I use salt away.

rinse the outside and engine compartment out very well with water...

then about ever 10 rides I'll wait for all the water dry inside the engine compartment, and I'll spray down everything with T9.

Check back with this thread when you are contemplating buying a ski from one of these people to get an idea of what you will be getting inside the motor.:ugh2:

As far as I know, Saltaway is just dish detergent. The really nice thing is that little siphon cup that you get with the kit. After buying the initial kit, you can just use Joy or similar.

It depends on what time of the day it is and if I want to piss off the neighbors. :mischievous:

Usually about 2 minutes minimum and longer if it's been in saltwater.

You flush after riding fresh water? Any reason why?
Yep... I run restrictors at the bypass fittings and a filter before the engine.

The lake has plenty of floating vegetation which gets trapped in the screen at times, so reverse flushing is an easy way to clean the system.

I let mine run on the hose for about 10 mins. I flush after every ride in salt. I wash the inside of the ski out for like 5 mins then let it dry over night and hose it down with WD40.
Sometimes I don't go back with WD40 but I always wash it thurougly with water.

I don't do anything to it when I take it to the lake. I keep it out of the mud and sand at the lake.
