How do you surf guys slide your skis up the beach and not destroy parts?

Beached my skis 50,000,000 times, besides loss of gelcoat and a few shell gouges... no problems. Its the pulling it back to the water after beaching, that kills you...lol

yup, same here... bottom of the ski looks like azz after a while, but I've never had one issue.

Anybody see that guy who lost his ski in "rise of the tide" and it rolled up the rocks? OUCH?!?!?!

it was all good! couple scratches, but minor! havent done anything to it since then. :biggthumpup:

I never (or I should say very rarely) do this. Just like previously pointed out it sand blasts everything down below as well as its a B#%$ to pull it back off the sand

It's basically just thrueing the hull. Who cares about gelcoat?ancake:
And yes, shake it in the knee deep water before starting again.

Also, getting it back in the water is nothing... but getting it back to the ocean if you beached at high tide, had a good lunch and found it 100' from the water an hour later... that kills your back.
