Well I don't think I will get a chance to ride it like that. I went through it tonight and determined that it isn't worth the risk of sinking it. I looked at the steering cable and stuff it is all melted. Motor still fires. By the way does anyone know where to get rid of old gas. If you look at the filler cap it is all melted and I don't want to risk using that gas. I pretty much disassembled it. The motor is now sitting in my basement out of the cold. I need to do the same to my x2. I still haven't got antifreeze in it, stupid me. I am thinking about a 650 -> 440/550 conversion just for fun. We will have to see.

Contact your city/county recycling center. In my city there is only one day a month you can dispose of bad gas, and it is a mobile unit that stops in like 6 different spots on that one day a month.

I asked the city fire department and they told me to use it. I guess they don't know of any recycling going on. I need to find someplace that gets rid of the gas. I don't have enough grass to get rid of it in a year through weedwacking. Maybe I can Find someone that has lawboys and other 2 cyc burning devices.

I always either use old gas to start fires, clean parts, weedeaters, or just dump it into my grandpa's old beater of a truck. I used to put it in our lawnboy but for some reason Maxima or Klotz just doesn't smell right running it in your lawn mower. It almost made me sick!

Dave, what are you going to do wit the hull? I suggest before you throw it out to take a large hole saw and cut out all the nuts that are inside the hull for the intake grates and ride plates. Maybe the inserts inside the hull for the motor mounts too. Basically cut any metal fastner out of the hull. If you need to dispose of the hull, I would be willing to come up and bring my sawzall to cut the hull up into pieces. I kind of always wanted to see what was insie of one..... lol

Sure! Give me a call. I was think about saving the pump and engine mounts for maybe a jon boat conversion, which I will never get too. I have two of these hulls that are junk. I have the title for one. With all of the crap you and I have we have enough to open our own shop!

Damn Straight! We probably could revive any and all lost 650 SX and X2s out there... lol

Sounds good I will get a hold of you. Just let me know when you are free. I have been clearing out a lot of parts I have. I ended up getting that X2 I emailed you about. It is in good shape but I really have no use for it. I needing a few more stock parts to get it back together 100%. I ma just keeping the carb, prop, and pipe. So far I have sold the head, reed spacers, intake manifold, and the reed cages/reeds are soon to go.

I'll get a hold of you.
