How do you implement a one way valve?

Hello,

I was ripping apart my WDK hull because of water leakage and wanted to change the scuppervalve with a one way valve after recommendations from here. I found out that the valve body was exactly the same diameter as the plastic tube and had to make a aluminum part to get the valve and tube to work together. I am curious what others do when installing this? Is the solution good enough to let the ski sit in the water for some time?

Most use a $5 standard gauge PVC pipe and the Oneway slides inside the pvc. Your flange mount looks very nice thou

Okay, that was the old solution too, but I did not like it. It was not deep enough to get the valve fully inside.

Thank you, I like making parts and bits. But I also like a ski that runs, without taking in water. Lets hope it works ;)
