Hooker...2 Thumbs Up!!

Got a 9/15 Hooker for Christmas to replace my Solas Concord 13/17 cutback. Water is finally warm enough to play in. Ski pulls much harder out of the hole and hooks up better in all conditions. I am impressed. :arms:

Thanks. I have been wondering about this exact comparison. I have a -3 13/17 reworked to 13/16 and I can't imagine to much more hit. How does it outperform the excellent -3 13/17 so dang well?? You don't happen to have a side by side shot of the props do you?

I don't have a pic, nor do I know how or why it is better, it just is. Maybe it is the large hub that makes the difference? I'm not a prop guy, I'm just a guy that threw in a new prop and was very pleased. I've done plenty of other mods (MSD Enhancer, lightened flywheel, nozzle bore) and never had near the 'seat of the pants' improvement that this prop gave me. :burnout:

One thing bad - Impros don't make Hookers for Kawis

Kawi's have the C-75 swirl props which are pretty much the same thing. I've got a 10/18 with total loss and JJC596 has an 8/16 without total loss. We both rave about those props so if you don't have one...get it!

I went from a -3 13/16 concord to the 9/15 hooker on my 01 RN. It definitely hooks up better while riding in other's pump wash or when the ski is on it's side through a corner. it also doesn't have that slight delay or slip that the concord had right off bottom. Acceleration might be a tad better, but that's probably due to pitch difference. Dave said RPM would be a 100 or 200 higher with the 9/15. I was happy with my concord, but i'm happier with my hooker!!

Still Fat....
I agree the 9/15 is pretty sweet
i went from 4.5 mil cut on a 13/15 to the out of the box 9/15
definately pulled more at real low rpm, sorta had a fad in mid and i guess even on top, perhaps slightly less
this is compared to the 13/15 i ran
personally i am going back to the 13/15, especially after the motor is rebuilt. i think i'll get slippage with the 9/15
Actually Dave can't believe i'm not spinning it or the 13/15, i also told him my fat a$$ is attached to the ski too

i'm not sure if the out of the box setup can be cut back any further on mine, seemed like that was probably as far back as it can go. Dave wants the pump assy if i were to want it cut further to truly investigate it

none-the-less i had good bite with it, especially in the wash of her SXR

it's definately worth trying for sure

and i was surprised because it was a little heavier (nothing dramatic, but you can feel it in your hands for sure), but perhaps it falls inline with the heavier flywheel theory that drag racers like
