East coast Homestead is famous for getting annihilated from Andrew back in 92... it's down in N. Cuba (Miami area)... no surf to speak of

West coast.... Tampa typicaly has garbage surf about year round..

East coast... Cocoa would be sweet... one hr. from Sebastian and 1 hr. from Daytona... best surf in Florida

Tyndall AFB is on the Gulf Coast in the Panhandle area of Florida.

Same surf diagnosis as WaveDemon. :frown:

got ya beat Idok...

Daytona Beach is the best location in florida for surf, hands down..

2 - beach break PWC zones within 30 min
Ponce Inlet - 30min south
Matanzas Inlet - 40min North
Vilano Inlet - 1hr. North
Sebastian Inlet - 2hrs South

don't even think about it though.... no jobs here :frown: :frown: :frown: :frown: :frown:

Hijack! I'll likely be relocating to Merritt Island/Cocoa Beach towards the end of next year. I know it's got great riding north and south but what about right there at Port Canaveral?

Port Canaveral sucks... all the good N. swell is blocked by The Cape. You can get a South swell there, but you can't ride in the break... it's not what you are looking for.

Great. That answers that question! I guess there's always the Daytona and Sebastian areas less than an hour away. In the meantime I hear there are great gator and manatee rampts in the Floridian flats :cool2:

I live about 25 miles from Sebastion inlet "monster hole" It is the shiznit! Breaks at low tide even on the 1-2ft days! Cant wait to get my new 62t big bore in the B1.

I never liked the issues w/ surfers there... it always seemd they were in the way on the best days... :banghead: :banghead:

Beachjunkie,Is your move to fl for sure? Looks like we both will be gettin our winter ride time in then.Im gonna be in Jax and St Aug all winter for the next few yrs.Its just a few miles for you to get to new smyrna, that place rocks, perfect beach break, awsome beach, hopefully the zone will stay close around the area

Nick I have to agree with ya,having a zoned beach break is better than st aug, it has no real decent beach breaks, the south side beach break at the point looked like crap for months all but one day. It is nice to have that north side break way out 1/2 mile, breaking decent when there is nothing at shore though. It just sucks its way out there and no one can see jack squat,But when the st aug crew takes the pontoon out there,Well thats just pretty hard to top!

As far as the hole goes? you let those punk surfers get in your way and run you out of the spot?
