highroller customs Stunt hull build

i actually have a mag pump here, but its much bigger than the stock one, with lots more veins, but im just not sure if i was gonna stick with what iv been running, or try and see how the bigger mag will work? i was told that it was too big for my set up.. i was planning on using the mag when i was gonna sleeve my motor to 1000cc in the sj.. but like i said low on funds, so im trying to get the ski together with what i got, then sell off what im not using after the build... id hate to sell stuff then find out i need it later. or use the mag and not need it, cause i could sell it and get good $ for it..

That's a big ole motor for a stock pump. I would say if you're low enough on funds that you're considering not painting it just to save money that you're probably not going to be able to buy a mag pump. If you do though... I'd be interested in taking the TBM pump cone off your hands.

my stock pump came out of the 1000cc boat that Ant Burgess got 3rd on in pro class the year he won amature... it was a topdeck conversion hull with a 1000cc motor, and was able to backflip it with ease... it works perfect on my sj now, and was hoping it would work on the stunt as well?

well,,, its been a while since iv worked on my ski.. i got deep into a different project this summer, i put a blower motor in my baja, and that took most of my attention all summer.. then i got real lazy and didnr work on anything and just drank and boated for the second half of the summer... any way, iv been working on the hull all week and shooting for a maden voyage this weekend...

i made a pole bracket at work, made a side exhaust outlet, used a 550 tank, putting the battery in the stock location, dual scuppers, got the turf done in the tray,( looks crappy) and have the msd mounted... im using a 760 midshaft, and got that figured out also,( had the wrong one this whole time and didnt realise it)..

i filled the bond seam with resin and glass beads/micro balloons, put a layer of biaxle all the way around, i built up the pole bracket area with 5 layers of biax, also put a few layers in the nose.. i reinforced the hood around the seal area.. i definatly added weight! lol,, the hull was 71 lbs when i got it,, i need to get a scale out to the lake before i start assembling tomorrow...

its a 24" baja, its a 454 mag with a BM blower. spinning a 26 4 blade, getting 77 mph outa her at 5300 rpms with the headers on, 72mph at 4500 rpms with the stock exhaust, (wich are unfortunatly back on)... we named her the Disco Stick, cause everyone wants to ride on my disco stick! ( im a closet lady gaga fan)

i turned the tank 180 degrees around... i added fuel line to the reserve and the "on" pick ups to make them the same lenght.. im running one carb on eack pick up.. i used the stock 550 fuel fill tube and a stock sj gas cap to make an internal fill.. the 550 tube is super long,, im getting a nice shoet 2" 90 degree elbow to make it look cleaner.. i have the 4 hold downs on the left and right side of the tank,, then i built up some turf to stof the slidding from front to back...

lnteresting idea on the 550 tank. That has been a problem with mine.l did not follow Chad's rule "think 5 steps ahead" on that part. But l have it worked out now.

And sweet azz boat!

Well,,, I worked on the ski all week, and all day... Im 30 mins from firing it... The tank worked perfectly!! The exhust came out sweet! Eveything is actually is working perfet! I guess all summer while iv been starring at the hull and collecting parts, the build is going smooth! I ran outa hose clamps, and with the pipe going in first, I can't bolt the motor down till I get the 2 cooling lines hooked up to the manifold, and I have to roll the motor to the side to get to them..Well, iv been awake for 30 hrs, and going to sleep.. The stunt will be on the water Sunday!! I'll get a bunch of clamps tomorrow, finish the build tomorow, and gonna ride Sunday! I wish I could post pics, but I've only got an iPhone out here, and can't upload pics.. But , I'm getting excited!!! I'll post as soon as I get to a computer.
