HELP!! Ski died while riding....buzzing coming from E-box

Hi all,

So I popped the 06 SJ in the water for the first time since Daytona (the first real ride after doing a makeover on it....head, pipe, msd enhancer, stock lightened flywheel). I was holding it wide open and about 20 seconds into it...she just shut off. I had water going out of all my pissers the whole time.

Hit the starter 2x, nothing. Hit it a third time, fired up. Went to hop on it, gave it some gas...made it to about 3k rpm and then it bogged all the way down. Luckily I was close to shore, so I swam it in and opened up the cover. I had a buzzing coming from the e-box. What could this be?

Again, I ran her in daytona and she ran fine...but I hadn't really been running her WFO at all. Luckily one of the guys in our crew is a jetski mechanic so hopefully he'll be able to help me out and get this thing running by sunday so we can go jump some waves (supposed to be 80* here in NY).

i opened up the e-box...the buzzing noise is coming from the solenoid. no corrosion at all in there...totally 100% dry. tried jumping the two wires...nothing.

i can't do a compression test because i can't get the motor to turn over.

well...now we're looking at two different things. i checked my battery connections, i had a short on the cable. now i'm not getting the buzzing noise. i got it to turn over.

however, i did a compession test as supertune suggested....170 in the front, dead in the rear. how lovely. ada head is supposed to be giving me like 185...so something is busted up. just in time for the gorgeous weekend.
