Got a problem.....

701 SJ running bad...
1) new plugs - no change
2) pulled front wire off, runs the same (1 cylinder) so front cylinder out..
3) Check spark on plug.... Strong spark
4) Plug is wet with gas....
5) compression at 150....

Does the 701 stato fire at both 0 and 180 on both plugs OR can I assume if 1 fires the other has to be good.

Can my stato be bad on 1 pickup? Are there 2 pickups?

Both plugs should fire twice per revolution. There are magnets on the flywheel that trigger the pick-up. You could pull the flywheel to be sure a magnet isn't missing, but first I would check your reeds.

Yeap... 1 front peddle missing.....

Where the FK do they go.....????

I lost 1 last month too. Gone!! Compression is still good. How does it make it back out without destroying the pistons.

Get some good fiberglass or carbon reeds. Are you running the reed stops? If not the reeds will over extend and break. Get some Boyesen reeds, they seem to last a long time and perform well. If you eat a fiberglass reed instead of a steel reed it probably won't do as much damage.
