Ok, I'm convinced that my stock water box is leaking...that's my justification anyways.
At first, I thought the previous owner had put an FP box in this ski, but that was when I was used to SN's and didn't realize that Yamaha used metal boxes on the RN's.
So, I'm checking out the FP and Wamilton's CF boxes. Can anyone comment on the performance of either of these relative to the stocker? Low-to-mid RPM performance w/o p!ssing off the people on the pier w/ a lot of noise is what I want. I was surprised at how brappy-sounding the stock box w/ pipe is compared to my SN, but nobody has flipped me off yet so I think the noise level is fine.
Are either of these two options that much louder?
My ski is a '98 62t 701, 180psi head, Proks, MSD Enhancer, FP B-pipe w/ limited chamber, etc...
EDIT: I searched the best I could, but could only find discussions about the Xmetal box. Feel free to point me in the right direction if I've missed some past posts...
