Helicoil 1st time..

I broke one of my motor mount bolts on my SXR:rant:, I could not get it out, easy out did not work and did not want that snapping off, so I drilled it out. and got a 8mm 1.25 thread size helicoil kit. I know the bolt is 8mm is it 1.25 or 1.05 for thread size?? and can I stack two coils on top of each other? Also, any advise from the people who have done these before would be awesome....

the other thing is could I try to run a tap down the hole I have to see it cleans it up enough to get the bolt in before I try the coil or is that a waste of time?

Will give running a tap down 1st a try.....what type of lube should I use antiseez, wd-40, motor oil?

Also....If end up haveing to do the helicoil, can you stack them??

anything that would act as a lube. Not antisieze. That not a lube.
You may can buy longer helicoils. Stacking not the best, but has been done.

I think if you have at least 4 threads that are gripping, then you should be ok.
