Super Jet Hazard Bracket and the UMI Pole Spring???????

I'm trying to synch up my Hazard Bracket and UMI style pole spring. It's looking like I will have to run a standard style RN spring. Does anyone ran an UMI style spring and this bracket?

I do it's a tight fit

I don't understand this spring. It makes the scrunchy come off when I lift up the pole and doesn't hold the pole up over like 1/3 the way up. I have it set up right I believe but really have no idea what I got to do now. Maybe I have to put a twist in the spring to pre load it, I don't know it that's possible.

for future reference. Straight side of spring goes down (trim to fit on lowered brackets) Just like the original UMI RN springs.
