That looks like a blowsion spring. Do as freakrider said and also ratchet strap it down over night and it should lose some of its tension. When I installed one I had to heat it up to it was red hot and open it up a bit
If it's a stock nose piece then it's the same screws that are in the back of the ebox just cut in half. I don't know the actual size but they are very coarse thread and you also need like a coupler that goes around the screw (I have no idea what they're called).Thanks all. I'll try and crank it down some more.
Also....anyone know what kind/size screws hold on the nose piece? Mine were knocked off in front of the gas tank/water box area. Lost forever unless I yank everything out.
