I see you guys riding in shorts and have no Idea how. I did it ONCE and turned my knees to burger on the mat just taking off. I only rode an hour that day and it looked like I had been dragged down the street on my knees. My boat has some kinda weird stitched padded mat so I dont know if Hydroturf is just that much softer or what. but I hate having to wear a wet suit all the time.

It sounds like you have a Jettrim or AP Designs race mat---awesome traction for racing while wearing shoes and takeoffs where you throw a knee on with a wetsuit, but will destroy skin.

thats how I take off. I tried the drag and pull up method once, after taking a direct burst fron the nozzle to my crotch I decided I'd had enough of that.:boggled:

I'll get a pic of it.

It depends on if you're going to keep the ski or upgrade to something else soon.

If you're going to keep it, get a 25mm underpad and a b grade sheet from Hydroturf and redo the tray. Your knees will appreciate it, from the softer mats (skin) to the thicker underpad (knee joint).

I AM looking to upgrade... it's just a matter of when. I still most likely will keep this ski . Cuz lets face it... It aint costing me anything, and I have practicly NO money in it. so sell it or keep it, it's a win win situation.

where would I find the "under pad"?

oh, i didnt realize that. call hydroturf and speak with someone that will get your order right.
